Al is committed to making some of the best artisan bread in Yorkshire and already supplies the Wentworth Restaurant & Malton Brasserie at the Talbot Hotel opposite.
Roost Coffee and Roastery - No. 6 Talbot Yard
Roost Coffee and Roastery is the brain-child of husband and wife team David and Ruth Elkington.
It was easy to know when they moved in as Malton started smelling of freshly ground coffee that morning!
With their business mainly wholesale (supplying the Talbot Hotel) you can also have their superb coffee that is roasted and ground on site!
Groovy Moo Ice Cream - No. 3 Talbot Yard
Italian Gelato using the finest Yorkshire cream. Take our word, it’s sublime!
Michelle and her son Ashley opened Groovy Moo with a commitment to serve the finest handmade ice cream in Yorkshire.
Recent flavours include: Wild Strawberry, Popcorn, Peanut Butter, Amarena Cherry, Eton Mess, Salted Caramel, Cotton Candy, Lemon and Lime sorbet and more! You can try these for yourselves in the Talbot Hotel’s Wentworth Restaurant and Malton Brasserie.
Brass Castle Brewery - Yorkersgate
Malton’s newest brewery - glug glug…!
Brass Castle Brewery is the first Made in Malton producer to relocate to Malton and takes the town back to its brewing roots. All its beers now proudly wear the ‘Made in Malton – Yorkshire’s Food Capital’ badge.
Located in a charming converted brick building off Yorkersgate, the brewery is already welcoming visitors. Real ale enthusiasts and all those who want to understand how this award-winning product is created have visited. As well as tour around the tanks, fermenters and the smelling of the hops visitors can also enjoy tasting a huge selection of freshly brewed beers.
The brewery is 2 minutes from the Talbot Hotel where Brass Castle Beer is already on the menu at the Talbot Hotel bar.
