Due to internal progression, there is now a unique opportunity for a passionate professional to find their place within our team as a full-time Receptionist.
Our Receptionists are great fun, full of smiles and have bags of personality. They are approachable and genuine giving a warm-hearted welcome to all our guests; ensuring every detail is looked after to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
This role is varied and interesting and no two days are the same so the ability to think on your feet, prioritise and always remain calm and professional are key attributes. If you have worked in a busy customer-facing role and are confident and self-assured with great organisational and administrative skills then this role may be perfect for you. Comfortable using IT systems and with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, you will be happy to run administrative reports, check in and check out our guests and keep our data current and reliable. You will have a keen eye for detail, keeping a close eye on our systems to ensure service is personal and attentive and our guests have a charming, comfortable stay throughout their time with us.
We are looking for a confident and capable team player who is professional and polished but has flair and effortless ability to charm our guests and be a welcoming host for The Talbot, our beautiful country inn.

Chef de Partie
As a chef de partie you get to oversee a section of the kitchen, be it pastry, butchery, fish, sauces, vegetables and so on. The Talbot Malton has a new head chef and together with the rest of the team are driving the menu to be more inclusive and representative of Yorkshires Food Capital.
The Talbot brand also boasts a Cookery School, Food Tour, 150 cover Wedding Venue and is instrumental in the monthly food markets and festivals that take place year-round.
