The Encephalitis Society is just one charitable organisation to benefit from the support of the Talbot.
The Talbot has supported the Society for a long time, selecting the Encephalitis Society as one of its chosen charities and hosting several events, such as the Queen’s 90th birthday, Beacon lighting, as well as making a donation for every portion of fish and chips that is sold at the Talbot.
For their ongoing and generous support, general manager David Macdonald and the team at The Talbot were honoured with the charity’s Corporate Partnership Award in 2017.
Dr Ava Easton, Chief Executive of the Encephalitis Society said: “We are very lucky and grateful to have the support of David and everyone at The Talbot. Ever since we were announced as their chosen charity, everyone associated with The Talbot and its associated enterprises, such as The Malton Cookery School, have really been keen to help us in any which way they can. They really go above and beyond in their support of the Encephalitis Society.”
The Encephalitis Society is an international charity which was formed 25 years ago and continues to be based in Malton, North Yorkshire.
It provides support and information to people affected by encephalitis, raises awareness through events such as World Encephalitis Day on February 22, and helps to fund research into the brain condition which affects 500,000 people globally each year.
