Our range of meat cookery and butchery courses offer something for everyone.
This course focuses on slow cooking, casseroles and pies, demonstrating how best to select and cook using the finest Yorkshire meat and poultry available. As well as learning about different cuts of meat and which cooking method is most appropriate you will learn a number of recipes to produce the tastiest of meat-based meals.

We show you all the techniques you need to know, from the preparation to the presentation. The Best of Yorkshire Meat course will give you the confidence to use local produce and follow these delicious recipes.

Yorkshire Seafood Day – Flat and Round Fish

Just 25 miles to the coast Malton enjoys deliveries of some of the finest crab, razor clams, monkfish, gurnard, mackerel and Lobster in Britain. Our Flat & Round Fish course will allow you to confidently prepare and cook the most delicious of fish. Course Outline

Our Little Chefs course is aimed at children aged between 6 and 10. We also do a more advanced Big Chefs course for 11 – 16 year olds. We recommend that you drop the little ones off and relax with a coffee at the nearby Talbot Hotel. We are also very relaxed if your child would prefer their parents close by.

Our  Big Chefs course is aimed at children aged between 11 and 16.

Getting messy is a must but the team will ensure a fun and enjoyable day.

As well as having a fun and fab time in the kitchen making delicious food that will impress their parents and friends your child will also learn important skills and techniques. These core skills will allow them to gain confidence in the kitchen and embrace the world of food and cooking.

Course Outline

An adult and up to 2 school aged children cook for 1½ hours and take home their dishes to enjoy later.

Additional children are charged at £15 (max 2 per adult)

Accommodation is available at the Talbot Hotel just 2 minutes from the Malton Cookery School.
